WHO ARE THE
ANGRY UNINSURED?

We are John Brown who sparked slavery's end.

We are the men who shut down railroads and mines to win the 8-hour workday.

We are the women who trashed parties demanding the vote.

We are Rosa Parks who refused second best.

We are Cesar Chavez who forced justice.

Today millions of us pay taxes and we hurt.

Our backs hurt, our teeth hurt, our guts hurt.

Today we demand the best care.

We demand the same care that insurance executives and their lawmakers get.

We demand Congressional care.

We demand bankers' care.

Because our children are as important as the President's.

Because our children deserve healthy parents too.

We therefore demand that the federal budget shift from killing to healing.

We demand more doctors and free clinics.

We are pushing to the front of the line.

OUR AGENDA

1.     The right to form member-owned co-operatives which develop low-cost accident plans, according to United States Health Alliance standards)

2.      More member-owned community health clinics

3.      More medical schools and greater emphasis on preventive and holistic care

4.      More family doctors

5.      Permit Independent Nurse Practitioners in all states

6.      End corporate bribes to legislators and regulators

7.      Shift budgets from prisons and war to clinics and jobs

8.    Clean water and air
